Judges 10:1-2

1After Abimelech died, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, was the next person to rescue Israel. He was from the tribe of Issachar but lived in the town of Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim. 2 He judged Israel for twenty-three years. When he died, he was buried in Shamir.


Judges 12:8-10

8 After Jephthah died, Ibzan from Bethlehem judged Israel. 9 He had thirty sons and thirty daughters. He sent his daughters to marry men outside his clan, and he brought in thirty young women from outside his clan to marry his sons. Ibzan judged Israel for seven years. 10 When he died, he was buried at Bethlehem.


Judges 12:11-12

11 After Ibzan died, Elon from the tribe of Zebulun judged Israel for ten years.12 When he died, he was buried at Aijalon in Zebulun.

Devotional Deep Dive:

Do you struggle with feeling like your life should have accomplished something great? That if you really had lived your life right then you would have accomplished more or done something noteworthy? If so, we need to let go of our own unrealistic expectations of ourselves and realize that we can simply be good servants of God who are faithful and that this is what God requires. How can you let go of parental expectations or personal expectations that still drive you to overeat and live unhealthy?
